The "no 3rd Runway Coalition" group, you might remember that they presented at the CANForum AGM earlier in 2019, have sent out some updates over the summer.

Legal Challenge
The four claimants have won the right to have their cases heard in the Court of Appeal.

The hearing will begin on 21st October - again it will be important to demonstrate our support for the claimants outside the court.

Heathrow Consultation
No3rdRunway have produced a short impact summary document which lists the devastation that Heathrow’s proposals contain.

Action needed on Aircraft Noise
No3rdRunway recent blog blog written by Caroline Russell AM, Chair of the London Assembly Environment Committee who address the blight that will be caused by concentrated flight paths.


Coalition at the London Assembly
The Coalition gave oral evidence to the London Assembly Environment Committee on 24th July for their inquiry into the impacts of expansion on London.

Views presented on the impact of Heathrow’s plans on noise pollution alongside Friends of the Earth (air pollution) and the Aviation Environment Federation (climate change).

Parliament Petition
There has recently been a petition started on the Parliament website in June calling on the Government to scrap its support for a 3rd runway.
